One price per appliance. Or none.
Not per channel, per room, per viewer or per server core. And nothing at all if you license your TV channels from us.
The model
Two ways to pay for it. One of them is nothing.
Pick the tier that matches where your signal comes from.
Free with channels
You license your TV channels from us.
Included with any tvheadend.io channel package.
- Every feature. No reduced tier.
- Unlimited channels, up to the appliance capacity
- Updates and support included
- Hardware licence included on both boxes
- One supplier for signal, rights and headend
Software only
You already have your own signal sources.
Or €220 per year — two months free.
- Every feature. Same build.
- Unlimited channels, up to the appliance capacity
- Updates and support included
- Cancel any time
- Runs on your hardware or ours
Prices exclude VAT. Hardware is a separate one-off cost — seehardware.
Why free with channels?
Our business is the signal, not the licence.
Our business is the signal, not the software licence. A customer taking channels from us is already paying us; charging twice for the box that plays them is friction we do not need. It also means one supplier for signal, rights, hardware and headend — and one number to call when a channel goes dark.
So the licence comes with the package. Any number of appliances at that site, the full feature set, and no licence server to reach — we already know you are a customer, because you are taking our streams.
It also collapses the supply chain:
- One supplier for signal, rights, hardware and headend
- One contract, one invoice
- One number to call when a channel goes dark
- No argument about whose fault it is
Worked examples
What a site actually costs
Four real shapes of site, priced end to end.
| Scenario | Hardware | Software per year |
|---|---|---|
| 40-room hotel, 15 channels, IP only | IPTV / HDMI Box — €150 | €220/yr, or €0 with channels |
| 120-room hotel on existing coax, 60 channels | Cable TV / IPTV Pro Box — €1,899 | €220/yr, or €0 with channels |
| Care home, 12 channels, existing coax | Cable TV / IPTV Pro Box — €1,899 | €220/yr, or €0 with channels |
| Small cable network, 100 channels, 2 appliances | 2 × Cable TV / IPTV Pro Box — €3,798 | €440/yr, or €0 with channels |
Hardware is a one-off and excludes VAT. Software is per appliance, so the two-appliance site pays twice on the paid tier and nothing on the channel-package tier. Channel package pricing depends on the line-up and the number of rooms.
How we compare
Against Cesbo Astra.
Astra is the incumbent in this category and a competent product. This is the commercial difference, not a feature argument — for that, seethe feature comparison.

Multi-site and reseller
Chains, groups and integrators.
Rates for chains and integrators on request. The HTTP API is the integration surface if you are building on top of us, and multi-site groups get one invoice rather than one per property.

Questions
Questions we get asked
What counts as one appliance?
One running instance on one machine. Not a channel count, not a room count, not a CPU count.
What happens if I stop paying?
Streaming stops. The appliance keeps its configuration and the web interface stays reachable, so nothing is lost and nothing needs rebuilding — but the channels go off air until the licence is valid again.
Do I need internet?
Not for streaming. A paid licence needs occasional internet contact to validate, which is the only reason the appliance reaches out. On the channel-package tier there is no licence check at all — we already know you are a customer, because you are taking our streams.
Is there a trial?
Yes. We set it up on the demo call, on your own feeds.
Can I move the licence to another box?
Yes. Hardware fails and sites get rebuilt; the licence follows the installation, not the metal.
